Lambay – Single Malt Irish Whiskey Reserve Cask Series Batch 01 2021 (70cl, 43%)

Lambay Reserve Cask Series Batch 01 is a triple-distilled Irish single malt, aged in bourbon casks and blended with whisky finished in Camus cognac casks. It is the first bottling in the series, limited to 10,000 bottles, and is bottled at 43% ABV without chill filtration. Water from the island's Trinity Well is added before bottling. Part of the whisky is finished on Lambay itself, where the casks are exposed to sea air. The cognac casks are first and second fill French oak. The colour is brown oak. The nose has oak, light smoke, herbs and tobacco. On the palate, oak and tobacco give way to black pepper, salt and a little smoke. The finish is oak and pepper, with lasting herbal and marine notes.
