Lambay – Single Malt Irish Whiskey Reserve Cask Series Batch 01 2021 (70cl, 43%)

Lambay Single Malt Reserve Cask Series Batch 01 is a triple-distilled Irish single malt, the first bottling in the series and limited to 10,000 bottles. It is bottled at 43% without chill-filtering, in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey was aged in bourbon casks and blended with malt finished in French oak cognac casks from Maison Camus, first and second fill. Some barrels were finished on the island of Lambay, and Trinity Well water from the island is added before bottling. The nose offers oak, light smoke, herbs and tobacco. The palate is rich, with oak and tobacco moving to black pepper, salt and a little smoke. The finish is oak and pepper, with lasting herbaceous and marine notes.
