Lambay – Small Batch Blend Irish Whiskey Finished in Cognac Casks (70cl, 40%)

Lambay Small Batch Blend is an Irish blend of malt and grain whiskies, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in bourbon barrels and then finished in Camus Cognac casks. The whiskey was aged on Lambay, a privately owned island, and is the result of a collaboration between the Baring family, who own the island, and Cyril Camus of the Cognac house. It is spicy and floral in character. The nose is floral and citrusy with lingering spice. Cracked almonds, pepper, malt and floral notes come through on the palate, and the finish is spicy with a lingering sweetness.
