This is an 11 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, bottled as a single cask by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and released for Halloween 2025 under the name Spirit of Hallowe'en. It is bottled in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent its first eight years in an ex-bourbon hogshead before moving to a second fill American oak Pedro Ximénez hogshead for the rest of its maturation. The nose brings pastrami, mustard and lightly smoked paprika, with a little barbecued cod, wild thyme, smoked cheese and fennel sausage. On the palate, menthol and eucalyptus lozenges meet rosemary honey, chalk dust and ash, then waxed lemons, black-buttered chestnuts, clam broth, liquorice root and bonfire mussels once water is added.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
