Laphroaig Select Cask is an Islay single malt at 40% in a 70cl bottle, built from casks representing the distillery's key styles with one addition.
The master distiller chose spirit from Quarter Cask, PX Cask and Triple Wood, which includes European oak, and added some 10 Year Old. The whisky then had a final maturation in new American oak casks, which are rarely used for Scotch whisky.
The result is a full-bodied malt that keeps Laphroaig's trademark peat reek, with added depth from the different types of oak.
