Laphroaig Select is a single malt Scotch whisky made from casks chosen from several of the distillery's key styles: Quarter Cask, PX Cask and Triple Wood, which is matured in Oloroso sherry. A final addition of 10 Year Old completes the blend.
The heart of the spirit comes from a final maturation in American oak casks, which are rarely used for Scotch. Bottled at natural colour, it pairs the distillery's trademark peat reek with a subtle balance of peat, oak and sweetness, and an added layer of depth from the different oaks.
