Lapostolle XO Pisco

Lapostolle XO is a Chilean pisco made in the Limarí and Elqui Valleys from Pink Muscat and Muscat of Alexandria. It follows Cognac methods: double-distilled in a French copper Charentais-style alembic, then aged for six years in French oak barrels, some new and some ex-Cognac. The colour is amber with copper-red reflections. The nose is floral, with orchard fruit, tangerine peel, lemongrass and jasmine. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with green apple, pear, gingerbread, white pepper and toasted rye. The finish is long and spicy, with gingerbread and toasty oak.
