Le Coste di Monforte Barolo DOCG Magnum (1.5L)

A Barolo DOCG from Piero Benevelli, presented in a 1500 ml bottle. It shows a deep ruby colour that moves towards garnet with aeration. The bouquet is composed and savoury, with faded rose, dark cherry and light earthy and undergrowth notes; the palate is linear, supported by dense but well-integrated tannins and freshness that keeps the drinking lively. The sensation combines structure and finesse, with a persistent finish. It opens well after a few hours of decanting and suits rich dishes such as braised meats, roast meats and aged cheeses, as well as mushroom and truffle preparations. Serve around 18 C.
