A 12 year old Ledaig from the Isle of Mull, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021 by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It is bottled at 48.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This is a single refill sherry butt, with 250 bottles filled exclusively for Kronenhalle in Zurich, Switzerland. Ledaig is the peated malt made at Tobermory distillery, and at this age from a single cask it is lively and punchy, with sweet ash character. It is described as peated and exceptionally maritime, with caramel, liquorice and syrup, then more salt.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
