This Ledaig is a 14 year old single malt from Mull, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular series at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in February 2006 and bottled in August 2020, and the single refill hogshead (DL14292) yielded 298 bottles.
Ledaig is the heavily peated style made at the island's only Scotch whisky distillery. This bottling is non-chill-filtered and has no colour added.
The nose offers warm tar, damp oak and a sweet, medicinal note. On the palate come smoked ham, pastrami, blueberries, charred currants and barley, and the finish brings sweet peat, orange peel, rock salt, cinnamon and toasted staves.
