A 30 year old Ledaig from the Isle of Mull, distilled in 1993 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It is bottled at 57.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a single refill sherry butt, which gave 381 bottles in all.
On the nose, Seville orange, strawberry and toffee apple mingle with stewed fruit and ginger spice. The palate moves from brown sugar and vanilla pod to dried cherry, coffee bean, dried banana and toasted oak. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering autumnal spice and black pepper.
