Legent Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Legent is a Kentucky straight bourbon created in collaboration between Fred Noe, seventh-generation Master Distiller of Jim Beam, and Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory's fifth-ever Chief Blender. It is made from grain and Kentucky limestone water. Portions of the bourbon are matured in red wine and sherry casks, and Fukuyo blends these with classic Kentucky bourbon. The nose is typically described as mature cooperage notes with spice. The palate is soft and sweet, with oak, raisin, date and spice and a light acidity. The finish is viscous, from the wine and sherry cask influence, with good legs on the glass.
