Limeburners – Sherry Cask Australian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a core range Australian single malt from Limeburners, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels for 3 to 5 years, then finished in a Sherry cask. Its average age is 5 to 8 years. Before bottling, the whisky is reduced with pure Albany water. It is made using copper pot stills. The nose brings caramelised lemon tart, grated nutmeg, honeycomb and golden straw. On the palate are burnt orange, maple sweetness, buttery caramel and salted cashew. The finish is well rounded, medium to long, with hints of allspice.
