Little Brown Dog Unpeated Caol Ila 12 Year Old (70cl, 57.3%)

This is an unpeated Caol Ila, aged 12 years and bottled by Little Brown Dog in a 70cl bottle. Unpeated Caol Ila is unusual, and this one is deliberately distillate-forward, so the character of the spirit comes through plainly. A high cutting point gives a sweet, delicate and elegant style. It was distilled on 27 December 2013 and matured in two refill bourbon barrels. It was bottled on 5 May 2026 at a cask strength of 57.3%, natural colour and non-chill-filtered, in an outturn of 384 bottles. The nose has pineapple chunks, white clover and clementine marmalade. The palate brings passionfruit coulis, custard tart and white grape juice, and the finish lemon sherbets, elderflower cordial and sea salt.
