Living Souls Speyburn 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings banana Angel Delight, stewed pears and creamy sweetness, with hints of honeycomb and chocolate. On the palate there is juicy kiwi, a dusting of nutmeg and a malty richness. The finish is mellow but lingering, and reflects Speyburn's traditional worm tub distillation, which adds weight to the spirit.
