This is a limited release of Lochlea 5 Year Old single malt, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of whiskies matured in different casks: first-fill bourbon, first-fill Oloroso sherry, double-matured Oloroso sherry and double-matured PX sherry.
The nose opens with brown sugar and baked pineapple in rich, cake-like notes. The palate moves to citrus zest and candied pear crumble. On the finish, tangy orange peel melts slowly into caramel, with hints of black pepper, rose petals and leather.
