Lochlea – 7 Year Old 2018/2025 (70cl, 50%)

Lochlea 7 Year Old is a single malt from the Lowlands, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025 at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It was launched around the birthday of Robert Burns and is the oldest bottling the farm distillery has released so far. It was matured in seven first fill bourbon casks, among the first the distillery ever filled. It is golden in colour, with no added colouring and no chill-filtration. The nose is creamy and buttery with stewed apple. The palate is full and creamy, with tropical fruit, a hint of apple and oak. The finish is buttery, with shortbread, cereal, spice and tart green apple slices.
