Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is a Lowland single malt bottled at 60.1%, using first-fill bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. The first batch in an annual series, it draws on casks selected to bring out Lochlea's fruit, nut and cereal character at higher strength.
Concentrated fruit punch opens the nose alongside soft cigar aromas and fragrant coffee beans. More fruit and a touch of Brazil nut follow, before a finish of orange syrup and aged oak.
