Lochlea – Cask Strength Batch 1 (60.1%)

Batch 1 is the first cask strength single malt from Lochlea, a family-run farm distillery in the Scottish Lowlands, and the opening release in a new series of annual special bottlings. It is bottled at 60.1% ABV. The whisky was matured in first fill bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks, and composed by master blender John Campbell, formerly distillery manager at Laphroaig, together with his team. Lochlea grows its own barley and distils and matures on site. The aromas are of fruit, nuts and cereal.
