Lochlea – Cask Strength Batch 1 (70cl, 60.1%)

Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is a single malt bottled at 60.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in an annual series of limited edition cask strength bottlings from the Lochlea distillery. This first batch combines first-fill bourbon casks with oloroso sherry casks, aiming for a balance of fruit and spice. The nose brings spiced fruit compote, candied orange and a touch of tobacco. On the palate there is plenty of fruit, with walnut, cocoa powder and oaky vanilla, and the finish is sticky toffee and sweet spice.
