Lochlea – Cask Strength Batch 1 (70cl, 60.1%)

This is the first batch of Lochlea cask strength, a Lowland single malt bottled at 60.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring. Production Director John Campbell developed the recipe, combining first-fill bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks and STR casks. The bourbon barrels came from Loretto, Kentucky, and bring Brazil nuts, coffee beans and aged oak shavings. The Oloroso sherry butts came from Jerez and add tangy orange syrup and fruit punch.
