Lochlea – Dark Briar (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Dark Briar is a single malt from Ayrshire, part of the distillery's core range. It is made from barley grown by Lochlea itself, then distilled and matured on site, and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and port casks. The distillery describes deep flavours of sweet red fruit, cherries and ginger cake. The finish is long, with velvety tannins and gentle baking spices.
