This is a Lowland single malt from Lochlea Distillery, introduced in 2025 as part of its permanent Single Estate range. The barley is grown on the distillery's own Ayrshire farm, and the whisky comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
It is matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry butts and Port casks, and was inspired by Lochlea's earlier Fallow Edition. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
The nose brings sweet red berries, vanilla caramel and freshly ground cinnamon with a hint of nutmeg. The palate is rich and rounded, with juicy cherries, sticky plums and ginger cake, held together by gentle oak tannins. The finish is long and velvety, with baking spices.
