Lochlea – Fallow Edition 2nd Crop Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Fallow Edition 2nd Crop is a Lowland single malt from the Lochlea farm distillery, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the autumn release in the distillery's seasonal series, named after fields left fallow for winter. The whisky was matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The Oloroso adds notes of manuka honey and light syrup, while the PX casks bring ginger sweets and ground coffee. The nose offers ripe red fruit and freshly baked banana bread. On the palate come dried fruit, leather, manuka honey and malt pastry. The finish is medium in length, with a touch of aniseed and floral rose petals.
