Lochlea – Fallow Edition 2nd (70cl)

The second Fallow Edition from Lochlea, a family-run independent distillery on Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire, in the Lowlands. The single malt spends its whole maturation in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and without added colour, showing a bright amber. The distillery was once a farm steading and began distilling in August 2018, with barley grown and harvested on site. The nose is fresh and fruity, with red fruit and baked banana bread. Sweet, rich dried fruit, leather and malt come through on the palate, and the finish is long, with aniseed and rose petals.
