Lochlea – Fallow Edition First Crop (46%)

Lochlea Fallow Edition First Crop is the third release in the distillery's annual limited edition series. It takes its inspiration from autumn on the farm, when the fields are left to rest after harvest. The purple label echoes the leaves that cover the ground as temperatures fall. It is the first Lochlea matured entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, and only 9,000 bottles were filled worldwide. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without artificial colour. The nose is ripe red fruit and freshly baked banana bread. The palate has dried fruit, leather and malt biscuit, and the finish is medium, with hints of aniseed and rose petals.
