Lochlea – Fallow Edition Second Crop

Lochlea Fallow Edition Second Crop is a Lowland single malt, the third in a series of four seasonal limited releases. It reflects autumn, when the fields lie fallow after a busy harvest. Lochlea is a farm distillery, and this is the time the land is left to recover after the barley is cut. The whisky matured in two kinds of sherry cask, 55% Pedro Ximenez and 45% Oloroso. Its colour is dark amber. The nose is manuka honey, ground coffee and golden syrup. The palate is sweet, spiced candied ginger, and the finish is freshly crushed almonds.
