Lochlea – Harvest Edition Third Crop (46%)

Lochlea Harvest Edition (Third Crop) is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from the family-run Lochlea farm distillery, bottled at 46%. The distillery's small batch releases follow the farming year, and this one draws on harvest, when barley for the following year's whisky is brought in on summer evenings. It matured in refill bourbon barrels, port hogsheads and an Oloroso sherry butt, with an additional year of maturation. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Rich dessert notes are balanced by spicy black pepper.
