Lochlea – Inaugural Release Single Malt Whisky

This is the inaugural release from Lochlea, an independent, family-owned farm distillery in South Ayrshire. The barley was grown on the distillery's own farm, and the whisky was aged in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The farmland has a literary past: Robert Burns, Scotland's National Poet, spent his formative years living and working on the land in this area between 1777 and 1784.
