Lochlea – Ploughing Edition 1st Crop (46%)

The Ploughing Edition is Lochlea's winter whisky, bottled at 46%. It is part of a series that marks the four seasons on the farm where the distillery stands, and refers to the ploughing of the fields in deep winter before barley is sown in spring. It is a warm, smoky take on the Lochlea style, made from a combination of ex-Islay casks and peated quarter casks. The icy blue label reflects the cold, frosty winters of Ayrshire.
