Lochlea – Ploughing Edition First Crop (70cl)

The Ploughing Edition is a single malt from Lochlea, released a year after the distillery's first bottling on Burns Night. It is the last of four annual releases, each based on one of the four seasons. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in ex-Islay barrels and peated quarter casks. It is bottled with no added colouring and is non-chill filtered. The distillery's notes describe boiled sweets, cooked apple and brazil nuts, all wrapped in a comforting haze of lingering peat.
