Lochlea Ploughing Edition is the first peated bottling from Lochlea, an independent, family-run farm distillery in Ayrshire. It is part of the distillery's seasonal releases and is bottled at 46%. The single malt was matured in a combination of ex-Islay casks and peated quarter casks. The edition takes its inspiration from the long winters on the farm where Robert Burns lived from 1777 to 1784, and its pale blue label reflects the frosty Ayrshire winters. The aromas are of sweets, baked fruit and nuts, with lasting Islay peat.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
