Ploughing Edition is the fourth in Lochlea's annual series of limited seasonal bottlings. It takes its inspiration from the farm in winter, when the fields are ploughed ready for barley to be sown in spring. The icy blue label reflects the cold, frosty winters on the Ayrshire west coast. It is Lochlea's first peated bottling, matured in a combination of ex-Islay casks and peated quarter casks. It is also the first smoky whisky made by Campbell since leaving Laphroaig. The aromas include boiled sweets, cooked apples and Brazil nuts, woven through with a hint of lingering peat.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
