Lochlea Ploughing Edition – Second Crop is a Lowland single malt from the distillery on Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire, once the home of Robert Burns. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit is made from unpeated barley grown in and around Ayrshire. It was matured in ex-Islay casks that previously held peated whisky, which adds a delicate smokiness to the unpeated malt. The nose is fresh fruit, caramel, vanilla and citrus, with a light touch of smoke. The palate is creamy, with apple, pear, toffee and gentle spice. The finish is medium to long and lightly smoky, with dark chocolate and dried fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
