Third Crop is the last of Lochlea's seasonal releases, which followed the farm year at the family-run Lowland distillery. It is a single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and the smokiest whisky the distillery has released.
It matured only in ex-Islay casks of 200 litres, which bring coastal and smoky notes to the distillery's grain and fruit character.
The tasting notes mention crisp green apples and malt biscuits alongside the sea air and smoke.
