Lochlea – Ploughing Third Crop (46%)

This is a Lochlea single malt bottled at 46% ABV, created by Master Blender Jill Boyd. It is described as the distillery's smokiest release to date. The whisky was matured entirely in ex-Islay 200-litre casks. The distillery notes fresh green apple, sweet toffee and Lochlea's signature cereal character on the nose. The palate adds more fresh fruit, then savoury smoke and malted biscuits. The finish brings sea salt and coastal notes, with a long hint of peat.
