Dark Briar is a single malt from Lochlea and part of the distillery's Single Estate core range. It is made from the distillery's own barley, distilled and matured on site in Ayrshire, and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry butts and Port casks, and takes its inspiration from the Fallow Edition. It is described as showing layers of juicy red fruits, ginger cake and velvety baking spice.
