Sowing Third Crop is a single malt from Lochlea, a farm distillery in Ayrshire. It closes the distillery's three-part spring series, which takes its theme from sowing barley on the farm, and is a limited seasonal release. The whisky matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels, as the two earlier editions did. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. The nose combines almond with rose petals. On the palate there is lively apple blossom, white pepper and crisp pear, and the finish is soft, with warm straw and freshly cut grass.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
