Lochlea Sowing Edition First Crop is a single malt matured entirely in first-fill Bourbon casks and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.
It is the first release in an annual limited edition series from Lochlea Distillery, inspired by the changing seasons on Lochlea Farm. The nose brings green apple peel, pear drops, cereals and custard creams, with vanilla sweetness, orchard fruit and hazelnuts. The finish is fruity, ending on a final touch of sweetness.
