Lochlea – Sowing Edition First Crop (70cl, 48%)

Sowing Edition is the second bottling from Lochlea, a single malt distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2022 after maturing in first fill bourbon barrels. The grain is grown on the distillery's own farm. It is bottled at 48%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in an edition of 7000 bottles. Notes of heather, flowers, citrus, orange, vanilla and tea lead the nose. The palate is creamy with light fruit, spice, pepper and honey, and the finish carries almond, mineral notes and citrus.
