Lochlea – Sowing Edition Second Crop (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Sowing Edition Second Crop is a single malt from Lochlea Distillery, set on a working farm in Ayrshire, Scotland. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and belongs to the distillery's seasonal series. The whisky was matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, taken from a higher tier of Warehouse 1 where warmer conditions speed maturation and bring spirit and wood into closer contact. The nose is fresh vanilla and soft caramel with ripe fruit, florals, honey and light baking. The palate is creamy, with vanilla, peach, apricot, gentle oak sweetness, ginger and milk chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and subtle spice.
