Long Pond 1983/2024 The Sins – Avarice is a Jamaican rum distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2024 at 40 years old. It is a single cask, cask strength bottling by Distilia, with 203 bottles produced. The nose brings black olives, diesel oil, anchovies, varnish, turpentine, fir wood ashes and lemon, with tar, tarmac and new tyres with water. The palate is lemon juice, liquorice, tar, varnish, olives and cane syrup, becoming lemon, ashes, tar and olive oil with water. The finish is coastal and hyper-salty, with oysters, whelks and brined olives.
