Los Siete Misterios Ensamble Espadín/Tepeztate (70cl)

Los Siete Misterios Ensamble Espadín/Tepeztate is a Mexican mezcal in a 70cl bottle, blended from two agaves, Tepeztate and Espadín. It belongs to a newer Ensamble line from the brand, which was founded in Mexico in 2010 and works with small local mezcal producers. The agaves are cooked in a conical underground oven using wood and river stones. Fermentation is natural, in wooden vats with wild yeasts and spring water, and the spirit is distilled twice in a copper still. The label draws on the work of the Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada, who drew calaveras, the skulls of everyday life.
