This is a single cask American single malt from McCarthy's, made at Clear Creek Distillery in Oregon, and bottled by Lost Lantern. It was distilled from U.K. barley malted with Islay peat.
Cask #5 held the whisky for 3 years and 11 months, in second-fill Oregon oak. It is bottled at cask strength, 57.05% ABV (114.1 proof), in a 75cl bottle.
The nose has campfire smoke and peated malt, with hay and iodine. The palate is smoky malted barley and leather, sweetened by vanilla ice cream with maple syrup. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke, seasoned oak and savoury salt.
