Old Fussbudget is an eight-year-old cask-strength straight bourbon from Low Gap, distilled in Mendocino County, California by master distiller Crispin Cain. The mash bill is 65% corn, 20% malted barley and 15% malted rye.
It spends eight years in new charred American oak barrels and is bottled uncut at about 59% ABV (roughly 118 proof). It was named Best Whiskey in Show at the 2026 Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans.
The nose is caramelised sugar, vanilla, toffee, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The palate is full, with sweet corn, caramel, roasted oak and rye spice, and the finish is long and warming, with toasted oak, tobacco leaf and a hint of barrel char.
