Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside whisky in a 70cl bottle and a gift box, bottled at 40% ABV. It is a newer addition to the core Macallan range and can be seen as the successor to the former 12 Year Old Sherry Oak.
It is made from Macallan malts matured for at least 12 years in casks that previously held sherry. Double cask here means the spirit matured in both American and European oak.
