Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old is a single malt that brings together two kinds of oak. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Sherry-seasoned American oak gives the vanilla and lighter notes, while sherry-seasoned European oak adds a richer complexity to balance them.
The nose offers dried fruit and butterscotch, with baked apples, chocolate and smooth oak. On the palate, sweet raisin and sultana build alongside cinnamon, nutmeg and creamy vanilla. The finish is medium, with lingering oak and spice.
