A 16 year old Speyside single malt from Macallan, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2025 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 24.184, named Cherry Make Merry. It comes in a 70cl bottle and is one of 316 bottles.
The whisky was matured in a single Oloroso butt and then finished in a refill PX hogshead.
The nose is described as boozy cherries, marzipan, green melon, cured ham, ruby port and cinnamon bark, with cupboard spices, dried dark fruits and apricot jam appearing after water. On the palate come hibiscus tea, young PX sherry, a meaty note, freeze-dried strawberries and prunes.
