This is a Macallan 18 Year Old distilled in 1992 and matured in sherry oak, a limited edition single malt from Speyside. It comes in a 70cl bottle, packed in the purple box used for this range between 2006 and 2017.
The nose offers dark plums, soft dates, caramel shortbread and milk chocolate, with sweet spice, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate the sherry cask character is rich and smooth, with dates, cocoa, dried fruits, Jaffa cake and candied orange peel. The finish is long, with cinnamon and chocolate lingering.
