A 13-year-old Speyside single malt from Macallan, drawn from a single sherry butt filled in 1997. It is the 2010 edition of the Easter Elchies series, which carries an orange ribbon for that year.
On the nose there is molasses, strawberries, Turkish delight, espresso, Havana cigars and figs. The palate brings dried fruits, figs, black pepper, nutmeg, cedar wood, butterscotch, dark chocolate and wood smoke. The finish is very long, with delicate sweetness and spice.
